A week ago we thought we fixed the leak in our dishwasher by pulling the unit out and checking all the hoses (see repair part 1 and part 2). When we ran the dishwasher after the fix everything seemed okay. But when we ran it again this past Friday we spotted another leak. As I described in my previous journal, we spotted drain water pouring out through our dishwasher's air gap a week ago.

Typically the cause of this is a blockage somewhere in the pipes: in the air gap itself, in the tube to the garbage disposal, inside the garbage disposal, or in the disposal's drain. Emboldened by our plumbing success fixing ( Read more... )
